L’histoire a commencé dans une bonne vieille cave où un bac de rétention d’eau récupérait toute l’humidité de la colline des Charmettes, où Jean-Jacques Rousseau a vécu.
L’humidité constante qui s’y diffusait, nous a permis de cultiver plusieurs flores exceptionnelles, apportant à nos fromages un goût unique.
De nos jours, la gamme Cave Rousseau® n’est autre qu’un mariage étonnant d’une technicité de fabrication unique et de la flore de nos caves. Cette alliance confère à cette gamme de fromages une texture incomparable de pâte fine et beurrée, avec des goûts presque sucrés !

PROLACTINE FRANCE

The company story began in 1960 with Mr Rebotton Edouard who started producing high quality milk. He got awarded the Justus Von liebig prize.
In 2004, Prolactine France is created : the Rebotton sons specialize in cheese selection and retailing.
A few years later, they started wholesaling and artisanal maturing : everyday, the cheese maturers turn, wash and brush cheese by hand to give them the best taste and satisfy all kind of customers.
Cheese sold regionally and nationally.
Today, Prolactine France is a human size team of 40 employees, who take care of 30 000 cheeses every year through differents range. Several Cave Rousseau cheeses have won awards at the 2021, 2022 and 2023 World Cheese Awards and Mondial du Fromage, including the Saint-Édouard ewe's milk tomme and the truffle goat's milk tomme.
