Description :
Comellini is a traditional dairy located in Castel San Pietro Terme (BO), on the imaginary border between Emilia and Romagna in Italy. It has produced fresh cheeses since 1969, including Squacquerone di Romagna, the famous soft ‘runny’ cheese which has Protected Designation of Origin status. The dairy processes approximately 30,000 litres of 100% Italian milk a day, most of which comes from eight farms just a couple of miles from its premises. The Comellini dairy is one of the best examples of the way people live and do business in Emilia-Romagna, where love for the land, traditions and innovation combine to produce fine food and wine which have made the Via Emilia and the whole of Italy famous throughout the world.
The Comellini product range includes traditional cheeses from Emilia-Romagna, great Italian classics, a lactose-free range made with vegetable rennet and ricotta. All the products are available in different sizes, so are suitable for sale on the deli counter of supermarkets or for self-service in the refrigerated section.
With a recipe that combines tradition, passion and innovation, the cheeses from the Caseificio Comellini dairy are the perfect embodiment of life in Emilia-Romagna. Its range of premium fresh cheeses is the result of its profound love for its roots and local milk, from a controlled supply chain.
