FROMAGERIES ARNAUD

Since 1907, ARNAUD Fromageries have been manufacturing and refining the 4 AOP cheeses from the Jura Montain (Comté, Morbier, Mont d'Or and Bleu de Gex Haut Jura). Our family business has always cultivated with passion respect for traditions and a taste for work well done to offer its customers and consumers very high quality products. This work is regularly recognized by the numerous awards obtained in international competitions. More than 200 medals have been awarded to us, placing our cheeses among the most distinguished in France. Our Comté was even voted “Best Cheese in the World in 2022”, among more than 1000 cheeses in competition, at Concours International de Lyon. This very high level of quality owes a lot to the exceptional maturing conditions that Fort des Rousses offers us. In this former military Fort imagined by Napoleon in the 19th century and transformed by Fromageries Arnaud into Comté maturation cellars for nearly 28 years, around 200,000 wheels of Comté are patiently refined, under the watchful eye of our Master Refiners. Thanks to its stone vaults, its 37 different cellars which each offer their own atmosphere, the Comtés constantly benefit from the best conditions to reveal all the richness of their flavors and offer an incomparable pleasure during their tasting.
